Facebook Scammers

Facebook is currently the most popular site in the world. It is also swarming with scammers mostly from Africa (Nigeria, Ghana etc…). Knowingly Facebook owners refuse to mention this issue at all because they prefer to keep the situation this way.

Being the most popular website in the world require a certain level of responsibility, however Facebook owners doesn’t give a damn about their users. As a result Facebook became a dangerous and harmful website if you do not watch carefully: A good friend of mine from USA contacted me one day and told me how she was scammed by a Nigerian guy over Facebook.

As a security expert with an experience in hunting scammers and crooks online i decided to open a group on Facebook to hunt and expose scammers. Very fast I learned that there are so many women that fell into this trap (men also). Within 5 months we exposed more then 500 scammers but any contact we made with Facebook security always gave us back an automatic respond and nothing was done. Practically we prefer not to report them as they will be back with new e-mail and new picture and we will have to dig them out again. Running such a group is a hard work as so many Women and men has been hurt.

We do have success and we saved plenty of women and men from falling into the traps. and eventually we see a reduction of activity but some of us has been blocked from Facebook while warning friends of those scammers simply because Facebook management is afraid of spamming but doesn’t care about scamming, and therefore put a limit to the amount of messages the user send. Can Facebook do anything ? of course they can because they have the IP of the computers that scammers were registered from as most of them are from Internet Cafes in Africa why not block them ?

Why doesn’t facebook do anything ? Because Facebook like all website like big numbers and they don’t care if their registered users are real or fake because nobody can prove it and they can show huge numbers of users. Just to show its possible a website called Mate4all.com blocked 17,000 scammers !! but the bigger sites ignore it. If you will join the group you can learn more about how, who and what the group link is: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=123980887398&ref=ts
