Othmar Welti Swiss-born Othmar Welti knows motor racing well. From 1990 to 1996 he worked for Sauber (computational and instrumentation engineer), from 1995 to 1998 as a race engineer for KMS (German Formula 3 champion with Norberto Fontana and Jarno Trulli, second in the championship with Timo Scheider) and in 1999 as a race engineer for Bemani (second in the Formula 3 championship with Marcel Fässler).

Overall, he was significantly involved in 33 Formula 3 wins before starting the Swiss Racing Team. In January 2000, Othmar Welti took the chance and became managing director. "After ten years as an employee in motor racing the time was ripe to accept more responsibilities. The people in the Swiss Racing Team are motivated and have a lot of experience in motor racing. I am confident that this is the key for success and that our young team will soon be well known in Swiss motor racing," says Welti.

Erich Kolb Erich Kolb, team manager and chief engineer for engines, earned his spurs working for ABT Sportsline, Spiess Tuning and KMS (together with Welti) and made his mark in motor racing. "The Swiss Racing Team is a big challenge for me. I am convinced that we will become one of the top teams in a very short period of time," the German says.
